Once Upon A Fairytale, A Mother Daughter Princess Tea is a special event hosted in both Jackson, MS and Conway, AR. Mother and daughters will sip tea, enjoy a three-course tea brunch, all while mingling with their favorite Fairytale Princesses. All of the proceeds from this event benefit Eagle’s Nest Children Home in two important ways.
- We believe a solid education is a gateway to success. Guatemala is one of the poorest nations in Latin America, with over half of its population living below the poverty line. Its education system ranks among the region’s worst, with two million children never attending school. And of those who do attend school, only 30 percent of them graduate from the sixth grade. The Tea in Jackson, MS focuses on raising the much needed funds to send all of the children at Eagle’s Nest International to school. Last year, we reached our goal and fully funded education for 34 children!
- When Guatemala closed to international adoptions in 2008, Eagle’s Nest which was once an adoption agency became a Children’s Home and a permanent living situation for most of the children living there until age 18. The Tea in Conway will allow us to help Eagle’s Nest bring in additional, qualified staff to care and love for the children at Eagle’s Nest. Our thoughts on this are simple, Just because we can’t bring these children into a family through adoption, doesn’t mean we can’t build a family around them right where they are at in Guatemala.
